Medicated

The assignment was to "comment" on a social, political or environmental issue that is "important to us". If you can't tell by all the sarcastic-looking quotations, I had a hard time taking it seriously, haha. But thanks to a brainstorming session with a friend of mine, I got this concept in my mind, so I went with medication as the subject. The idea is that medication -too much medication- can make you a different person. That's me in the mirror (or rather, an idealized, medicated me), handing a pill bottle to me on the right (being my messy self -though that was a stretch because I am O.C.D.)
It didn't quite reach my personal expectations for a few reasons. First of all, I wanted that mirror to be on a medicine cabinet, so the message would be clearer, but I couldn't find a bathroom like that. The other problem was that I waited till the last minute to take the source photos, and subsequently spent the last 2 days at the studio working on it until literally an hour before it was due. So parts of it aren't finished.
Eh, sometimes the things you put so much thought into don't turn out the way you'd planned. But this will always at least remind me of those 2 days I spent at the studio -the last time I'd see many of the people who were in my 2D class. And it also taught me something about charcoal...I'm not as good as I thought I was, haha. But I hope you will enjoy it just the same.
